What we collect
Only what you give us when you get in touch:
- Your name and contact details — phone number and email address
- The address of the property, where the work needs quoting or carrying out
- Photographs you send us of the job
- Anything else you choose to include in a message
We do not use tracking cookies or analytics on this website, so nothing is collected automatically as you browse. [This must be updated if analytics, an enquiry form, or a social media feed widget is added — several of those set cookies]
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange and carry out the work, and invoice for it. The lawful basis is either taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing that contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
Photographs of work
We photograph completed jobs and may use those images on this website and on social media. These show the property, not people. If you would rather we did not photograph your job, or you want an existing photograph taken down, tell us and we will remove it.
Instagram images
[Only relevant once the Instagram feed is switched on — delete this section if it is not] The gallery page shows recent posts from our Instagram account. Those images are served by Meta rather than by us, so loading the page makes a request to Meta’s servers, which reveals your IP address to them. No cookies are set on this website as a result.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. It may be handled by the services we use to run the business — our email provider, our accountant, and our website host — and by anyone we are legally required to disclose it to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted within [12 months]. Records relating to completed work are kept for [six years] to meet HMRC requirements.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email MJHSolutions10@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.
